WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE...
The last month has just flown by it seems! I guess that's because
I have been busy visiting and socializing.

Early in the month I took a road trip to visit my Aunt Esther in
a small city called Barrie, about 100 kms. north of Toronto.
(about a 7-hour drive from Montreal).On the way back I managed
a quick overnight visit with my Mom who lives in a small town
named Carleton Place, just west of Ottawa.

Then, my old friend Peter, and his wife Sandra, who currently live in
Edmonton, Alberta, dropped in to visit me in Montreal for a few days.
It was great fun making like a tourist in my own town with them!
I got to do a lot of things locally that I otherwise probably wouldn't
have done. (I have found that it often takes visitors to familiarize
me with my own city!).

THIS MONTH'S POST...
Now that most of my subscribers are back at school or work after
the summer holiday period, "writing" has taken on more importance
than ever. Accordingly, I have provided some info and resource links
related to the two most used "writing style standards" in the English
