WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE...
Ok, so exactly one month ago we had snow flurries. Today, we are
in the middle of a mini-heat wave! Go figure!?
Aside from more BIXI-biking, which I described in detail last month,
I have also been testing my golf swing at one of the local practice
ranges, or as we call them here "driving ranges". It seems that all
of my winter workouts have paid off and I am hitting the ball
farther than ever! Now, if I could only straighten it out a bit!
Soon I will head out to a real golf course to see if I can break 100!
The big sports news here is that the Montreal Canadiens hockey team
just got knocked out of contention for the Stanley Cup, the Holy
Grail of professional hockey. Actually, the Habs, as they are
nick-named, made it to the third round of the playoffs by upsetting
two of the top teams, so they actually did much better than anyone
expected.
Summer activities are heating up here in Montreal with the big F1 race
coming up in less than three weeks, followed by the Les Francofolies,
the Jazzfest and then the Comedyfest, etc., etc. I should also mention
that Cirque du Soleil's latest show, "Totem" is now playing under the
big top in the Old Port.
So, if you are looking for something to do, Montreal would be a good
vacation destination this summer.
