WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE...
Right now we are deep in the middle of another Montreal winter.
Although, for the last couple of days it has actually been mild
and rainy here instead of the usual cold and snow. That kind of
weather is supposed to return by the weekend.
Actually, last week, Leela (my daughter) and I went night skating
on the st. Jacques Basin in Old Montreal. The conditions were
greeting-card-perfect. Not a breath of wind, and just cold enough
to see your breath and keep the ice slippery hard. It was really
exhilarating to glide across the ice outdoors with the Montreal
skyline lighting up the background. Perfect, really! (Even though
it is outside, on that particular rink they use a Zamboni machine
to clean/flood the ice so the ice is extra smooth.)
Leela liked her new skates and we both managed to NOT wipe out.
I did have to do a bizarre dance to keep my balance at one point;
but I did manage to stay up. (Serves me right for showing off!).
