After breaking in my roller blades a few times in April
and May I have now turned to another one of my favorite
activities - golf. One trip to the "driving range", as we
call a golf "practice range" here, and I broke down and
bought a new set of clubs for the first time in 20+ years.
Wow! That new technology that you see Tiger Woods and his
golf buddies promoting on TV really does make a difference!
So as you can imagine, 20 years of golf technology advances
in one dose is like a quantum leap for me. I might even
break 90 this summer!
This month's blog post is all about writing resume cover
letters. This time of year, school is just ending for many
of my subscribers and they are starting to look for either
full-time or summer employment. Also, with the worldwide
economic downturn in full swing, many once-employed people
find themselves dusting off and updating their resumes
as they start looking for new work.
Do you realize that the cover letter that you use to transmit
your resume to prospective employers can be as important as
the resume itself? That's right. Blow your cover letter and
there's a good chance your resume or c.v. won't even get read.
